“It takes a community to raise a people.”
- Iv Amenti
The South Dallas Parent Coalition and Iv Amenti join organizations across the country in leveraging arts & culture to advance a just, multiracial democracy. They will host The Rites Now Project, a week-long series of events exploring what “Building The Bigger We” means to Dallas, TX from our cultural practices (rites) to our political systems (rights).
Dallas, TX - has been chosen to facilitate the Rites Now Project, an exploration of how modern democratic processes mirror indigenous social systems and how the two can merge for a more inclusive democratic process. Join us for a week of culturally immersive visual and performing arts, including a digital map of movements and people who make our democracy healthy.
